“We shot this scene the day after we shot Emilia sending Jorah on his merry way and banishing him. What was interesting here was to try and have Emilia at a distance be the queen and the host of these meetings and when you cut in and you’re closer to her you can see that she’s unstable because she’s now lost. She came away from season one with two things: her dragons and Jorah. One of them’s gone and she’s about to realize she’s got to lock away the other, and she’s not doing very well.”
